With a vision that business and scientific interests can go hand-in-hand as forces for good, Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle) is the world’s largest nonprofit research and development organization. The project was focused on a brand architecture strategy that would help to increase name recognition, understanding, and build one strong brand. We worked with the organization to develop the positioning and Message Platform, naming structure and visual brand elements including 150-page Brand Guidebook that helps to turn its siloed and inconsistent communications into strong, relevant and useful tools to leverage across the multiple divisions so they are now all working together to support one Battelle brand.

"Kite's insights in creating spot on messaging and development of brand tools were extremely well received by a company that has had little engagement with strategic branding efforts. Since the launch of the new brand identity guidelines and messaging platform, Battelle employees have been able to more consistently communicate the value of their work to external audiences."

—Pam McCoy, Prior Director of Brand Strategy, Battelle
